We are connected to a century old ministry of the Chinese Christian Union (CCU) in San Francisco, CA. In 1997 the Chinese Christian Union Sports League, also known as CCU Sports, was created to supervise existing Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball programs. Our league started in 2003 by six disciples of Christ who had a passion for basketball and spreading the gospel. We were a ministry under Holy Ground Church. From 2003 to 2015, the league was known as the Asian Basketball Connection (ABC). In 2016, the ministry merged with Chinese Christian Union in San Francisco, CA (CCUSF) and were known as CCU East Bay Basketball. The change allows resource sharing, better branding, and brought this league under a broader ministry umbrella. After being a part of this century year old organization we now will be  branching off on our own.  We will be known going forward as God First Sports (G1 Sports).
